Ahhh San Diego!

My goodness what a good time. These are my thoughts from Saturday and a bit of Sunday...
I get to the con at about 9:30 to go to hall H. Got in but was only able to get a seat half way down. Half way made the people on stage about 4 inches tall. A good view none the less aided by 4 huge screens.
First up was Brian Singer, directing Superman Returns. He flew out from Australia ( 30 hour flight ) just to talk about the flick. He showed a 3 minute piece that was great. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It's going to be a really powerful story.
Kevin Smith was up next. Very funny live. A great show.
Then Whedon and the gang! They were all awesome! Nathan was hilarious! Joss kept dropping hints about continuing the franchise. It was now about 3 p.m.
Leaving the hall with some 6000 people we ran into about 10000 people that were lining up for another panel. I use these numbers conservatively. They were all well behaved but I panicked none the less. Had to get away from crowds for a while. Not an easy task. After pulling myself together I went back into the exhibit hall. Now this thing is huge and it was packed on Friday but it couldn't hold a candle to Saturday! There are so many booths you don't know where to go. I have had no luck yet finding any Teen Titans stuff but I'm not giving up hope.
I bumped into Richard Taylor, owner of WETA workshop in NZ. We shook hands and chatted for a bit. That was cool.
Walked around and looked at booths. Walked some more. Must of walked 20K each day. I now have blisters the size of small tomatoes on the bottom of my feet and most of my lower torso is muscle fatigued beyond belief. I get back to the hotel around 10 and shut down!
Woke on Sunday and back again for another day of shopping. Found some Titans, said by to the gang and did a bit of the tourist thing before going to the airport.

Thanks! It was! I don't get to geek out too often but when I do I'm glad I can with people like that!
